YTM Mission Team Application

Come on the trip of a life time to beautiful Dominican Republic. It is located south east of Florida and shares the Island of Hispaniola with its neighboring country Haiti. Although the Dominican Republic is home to some of the world’s most beautiful beaches, sin has marred this spectacular country. The people of the Dominican are in desperate need of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Please join me as we share the Good News of Jesus Christ and give hope to the people of the Dominican.

Dominican Republic Mission Trip Plan:
Vacation Bible School, Drama Performance, Singing, Teaching, Youth Mentorship, Evening Evangelistic Meetings, Tentative: Medical and Dental Ministry Note: (The Medical and Dental ministry is dependent upon obtaining Healthcare Personnel) Additionally: on the last day we will have a field trip to explore the island and go shopping for souvenirs.

Note: This amount will cover your air travel, in country transportation, lodging, Medical Insurance and meals. Additional cost such as passport fees, and food at the airport are not covered. Their will be a $25 non-refundable application fee and a trip Deposit of $150 will secure your reservation.

As with any mission effort, there will no doubt be many in your group who will need to raise support to come. This is something that is often looked upon with as much excitement as having six root canals. But fund raising doesn’t have to be viewed as a chore. Instead, it gives others an opportunity to be involved in the Mission that you are going on. Many of these people can’t go on a Mission trip themselves, but can help you to go. Give them that chance.

Some in your group will feel that they cannot ask anyone to help them go. Be very careful here. This situation may be caused by pride. Satan may be using this as a means to stop you from going with the message of the Gospel. He will do anything to keep you from taking the saving message. If he can stop you before you even go, then he wins in several ways. He stops you from taking the message, and stops those you would have taught before they even hear the message. Don’t let this happen because you are embarrassed to ask for help. Remember, you are not asking for help for yourself, but for help in taking the message of Jesus to the lost.

On the average, $2500 can be raised through well-written letters sent to about 75 people who know you: family members and friends. Someone once told me that they didn’t understand why they had gotten such a small response. I asked them how many letters they sent out and they replied by saying, “I sent 6 letters, but each person I sent them to could have sent me the entire amount I need.” I turned to someone else in the group who had already raised her support and asked her how many letters she sent out. Her reply was 116!
The point here is this, SEND LETTERS TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW. Don’t just send to a few people who you know have money. Send it to everyone. And don’t make the mistake of not sending the letters to people who you know are already involved in other projects. They are the ones with mission hearts! They are more likely than anyone to help you in your efforts for the Master. And as you send the letters, pray, pray, and pray. Ask for God’s blessing on your efforts, and ask for God’s peace. He will bless you beyond belief.

Our purpose is to be Ready and Willing to be this witness where ever, and whenever the opportunity presents its self.

Act 1:8 “ but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”

Our Vision is to challenge the body of Christ to be pro-active participants in the Great Commission. This involvement can be as close as across the street, or as far away as around the world.

Mat 9:37-38 Then He *said to His disciples, The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few (Inform) Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest (Inspire) To send out workers into His harvest.” (Involve)

Your Turn Ministries Statement of Faith

Our beliefs are based solely on the Bible. It is God’s written word to mankind made up of sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments and is without error in its original manuscripts. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters.
(Jeremiah 10:1-16; John 17:3)

GOD: There is only one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

JESUS the CHRIST: Jesus the Christ is both fully man and fully God and that Jesus is the only way that God has given to mankind so they can be reconciled to Himself. Jesus was born of a virgin, He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on a cross for the sins of all mankind, rose from the grave, ascended into heaven and will one day return to earth in power and glory.

HOLY SPIRIT: The Holy Spirit is fully God who indwells everyone who places their trust in Jesus the Christ and He empowers them to live godly lives.

SALVATION: Every man and woman is sinful and is alienated from God due to his or her own sin and only through faith in Jesus the Christ can a person be restored into a right relationship with God. Salvation is God’s free gift to all mankind. It is not based on human works, traditions or religious acts but solely on God’s grace.

ETERNAL SECURITY: Because God gives man eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives this security.

CHURCH: The Church is the Body of Christ and is composed of all those who through faith and belief in Christ have been spiritually regenerated by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The mission of the church is worldwide evangelization on the one hand and the nurture and discipling of Christians on the other.

BAPTISM: Baptism is an act of obedience for everyone who confesses Jesus as Lord and it symbolizes the believer’s faith in the crucified, buried and risen Savior, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Jesus the Christ.

GREAT COMMISSION: The Great Commission is a literal command by Jesus the Christ that remains in effect today. It was initially given to His first disciples while He walked the earth. This command requires all Christ followers to be a living, visible and verbal witness to the Glory of God in every corner of the earth.
